American Girl Doll Faux-Pleat Skirt
This doll skirt is easy to knit. Evenly spaced raised lines create the illusion of a classic pleated skirt.
The skirt is worked top-down, seamlessly, in rounds, on double pointed needles. The belt and hem are worked in 1 x 1 rib, the main part of the skirt is worked in reversed stockinette, with knit stitches spaced evenly to make the illusion of pleats. The A-shape of the skirt is achieved by increasing the number of stitches between the knit stitches.
