Not all 18 inch dolls are created alike. Having an Our Generation doll I quickly realized that most if not all of the shoe patterns would not fit this doll as they would be too big. I created this pattern to fit the American Girl, Gotz and Madame Alexander dolls which have the same foot length of 2 ½ inches x 1 3/8 inches. The Our Generation doll has a foot length of 2 ¼ inches x 1 3/8 inches in width. The use of an elastic in the pattern allows for a cinching effect which helps to keep the shoes on snuggly. Granddaughter tested. This pattern has a double sole construction.

Materials
G Hook (4.00 mm) Susan Bates used for pattern
DK #3 yarn for the uppers. Caron Simply Soft which is labeled as a #4 weight yarn has been used for the sole which gives the correct final measurement. Yarns used Red Heart Designer Sport (#3), Lion Brand and Patons Astra.
Stitch markers
Goody “ouchless” elastics or any elastic with a 2” diameter

Pattern features a unisex sole, stitch count at end of each row. Great stash buster.

•Important note: Upper shoe will have length of 2 1/2” by 1 1/2” allowing for a nice snug fit.
