The Americana Star Granny Square Blanket is a free crochet pattern on my blog!

Inspired by a star quilt block for a vintage patchwork style feel!

The Patriotic Americana Star Granny Square Blanket is made with granny squares - solid & two-color squares to create a blanket with a geometric star center!

This square blanket is made with a total of 9 granny squares - 4 squares worked as a two-color granny square (half of the square in one color and the other half in the second color) & 5 solid granny squares. The squares are then arranged so that the two-color granny squares create a star shape in the center of the blanket.

A half and half granny square is made by working in turned rounds so you can drop and pick up yarn colors as you need rather than weaving in a lot of ends at the finish.

Easy to customize to size - simply adjust the size of each square before joining.
