This afghan is worked up with a Tunisian Simple Stitch, making it dense and squishy: the perfect picnic blanket throw. This one is a red white and blue Americana theme, but any color scheme can be used! And the best part about it? The next color will be waiting at the end of the row for you, so no weaving in hundreds of ends.

This blanket uses size K crochet and Tunisian crochet hooks. Make sure your cable is long enough to hold a 50” width (I used a 40” cable). You will need 2 skeins of each color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn (6 total). If using a different yarn, make sure to go up 2 sizes on the suggested hook size.
