These socks are cast on from the cuff and worked in the round from the top down. The heel flap is worked flat with the heel turned on these stitches. Stitches are picked up along the edges of the gusset. The gusset and foot are then worked in the round towards the toe. After the toe shaping the sock is closed by grafting the stitches together. Unless otherwise noted, slip all stitches purl-wise.
