Ametrine is an asymmetrical shawlette that combines garter stitch and sections of lace. It’s worked from one corner to the other, starting by increasing to the widest point and then decreasing down to the other end. It can be knit out of a heavier weight of yarn for a larger piece, but note you will want to adjust the needle size and quantity of yarn needed if choosing to do this.
