Ametsa
Note that the pattern for Row 1 should be followed and NOT what I say in the tutorial. I put in two extra chain spaces which shouldn’t be there - many apologlies xxx

A triangular crochet shawl worked from the top with increases along the central spine and at each side.
Ametsa uses two Dream Catcher yarn cakes, with long, slow colour repeats in two colour ways. These are alternated every two rows and the second yarn is always carried up the side of the shawl, meaning only four yarn ends to sew in.
Three colour ways are suggested in the pattern and are shown as samples.
The pattern uses UK half double treble stitches in the top of the stitch, between the posts and as front post stitches. A link to a video tutorial showing how to make the stitches forms part of the pattern.
I have also added a link to a video tutorial showing how to crochet the first three set up rows and the two pattern rows of the shawl.
A relaxing and meditative project once you have mastered the stitches and checked your stitch count over the first few rows.
A progress chart with stitch counts for each row is provided in the pattern.
The shawl requires two Dream Catcher yarn cakes, but it could be made in any DK yarns in any colour combinations.
