This is a crochet pattern for Mei the Panda & Bear Friends, cute little sitting bear amigurumi - Part of the Amiani range from Hooked On Patterns, a collection of amigurumi animals.

This pattern will show you how to make a Panda Bear and also how to adjust the pattern to make a Brown/Grizzly Bear, Polar Bear, Black Bear, and a fluffy teddy bear.

Written instructions using US terms, includes chart to convert into UK terms. Photographs used throughout with a printer friendly version included.

This pattern can be made with any yarn size. The yarn size you choose will determine the size of your finished bear. Keep to the same size yarn for each colour. As a guide, using DK yarn with 4mm hook will produce a bear approximately 8cm tall, I used 6mm safety eyes for this size. Using UK chunky yarn and 5mm hook produced a bear approximately 12cm tall, I used 14mm safety eyes. The panda photographed for this pattern has been made using UK Chunky (US Bulky).

You will need:
Black, White, Grey yarn for Panda
(or any other bear colours) - less than a ball/skein of each used
A pair of safety eyes
Toy stuffing (polyester fibre filling)
A yarn needle and scissors.
