Amigurumi bee
I wanted a simple no-fuss bee pattern as I had to make so many of them for my daughters playgroup friends. I felt that the stripes when crocheted normally didnt look okay on small bees made using DK weight yarn.
So I improvised and followed a technique that looks great. I have explained how its done in the pattern, with lots of pictures and an explanatory video. Hope you find them useful.
The bee’s body is worked top-down, from the head to the bottom. Start working with yellow yarn and then alternate between black and yellow for the stripes as indicated in the pattern.
Most importantly, follow intently when the pattern says Front loops only(FLO) or Back loops only(BLO) which is crucial for the desired effect. And, work through the entire stitch, in both loops when nothing is mentioned.
