Summer is here! And our sprits are awakening! With the sun shining and the air filled with the scent of flowers, it couldn’t be more romantic.

So it’s no wonder that summer is traditionally THE time of the year to get married and start a new life together – just like this cute little pair of owls.

With so much love between them, they are not just the ideal gift for newlyweds and will bring love, happiness and good fortunes to every home, they are also a very attractive eyecatcher and an absolute must for every owl addict.

Size
using the indicated yarn and crochet hook, the bride (with her hat) will be about 14cm tall and the groom (with his top hat) will reach a height of about 17cm

Difficulty Level:
medium, basic knowledge of crochet techniques required – for the veil, there is a diagram included for better illustration in addition to the written pattern

Stitches/ techniques used:
Chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, Magic Ring, increase/decrease, picot (short description included), work into the front/ back loop only, change color

Material:
Crochet hook size 3.5 and 2.0 (for the veil)
Cotton yarn in the colors rose, red, turquoise, petrol, dark brown, light green, bright yellow, light yellow (137 yds / 1.75 oz or 125 m / 50 g)
4 black beads (8 mm) for the eyes or 2 pairs of safety eyes
Crochet thread in white (for the veil) (612 yds / 3.5 oz or 560 m/ 100g)
Filling material (e.g. polyester fiberfill
