Amigurumi Coffee Cups
With Fall on its way, what better than relaxing with a hot cup of coffee? If, like me, you can’t get enough of coffee (or tea, we don’t judge ;P), why not crochet some of your own coffee mugs! Add simple faces and they become even cuter. They make awesome keychains or bag accessories, or look adorable sitting on your desk. They make great pincushions too!
This pattern shows you how to make a larger “desk buddy” version, as well as the directions for a mini version perfect for keychains!
This guide also goes into some amigurumi basics perfect for beginners, like yarn under vs yarn over and cotton vs acrylic.
What You’ll Need:
- Weight4 (or whatever size really) yarn in whatever color you want your mug to be
- Matching weight yarn in brown
- Crochet Hook to match your yarn size
- Tapestry Needle
- (Optional) Safety Eyes
- (Optional) Small amount of black yarn
- (Optional) Small amount of pink yarn
Stitches You Need to Know:
- Single Crochet
- Crab Stitch (guide included)
- Invisible Decrease
If you have any issues, I’m happy to lend a hand as you work through this pattern!
