Amigurumi Cthulhu Ozchilde
“Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn,” or rather: In his house at R’lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming. But sometimes, you know, at the end of the night after hanging out with you, maybe drinking one too many daquiris and watching one too many horror movies, Cthulhu would rather hang out at your place, possibly crash on the couch. You know how it is. Getting to R’lyeh at this time of night is difficult, anyway. The bridge is absolutely killer in the fog. So let the Great Old One stay with you.
This listing is for the crochet pattern for both the male and female Cthulhu. The female “ManEater”, although mentioned less in the available literature about these amazing and horrible creatures, is more brightly colored than the male. This is to momentarily distract the male from universal destruction and other amusing pursuits for long enough to mate. Both dolls are 16 inches tall by 10 inches wide, and have a 34 inch wing span.
Please be aware that, although I try to make my patterns as simple and easy to understand as possible, you may get more value from them if you are an intermediate to experienced crocheter. A familiarity with sc, dc, increases, decreases, and working in the round will serve you in good stead.
Vox Mortuum Designs are amigurumi crochet representations of all manner of mythical and odd creatures, meant to delight and inspire you!
