Amigurumi Ela the Matryoshka doll
“Ela” is the first of the Matryoshka series, and she arrives together with her whole family :)
A little girl’s dream, and a beautiful decorative element in your home.
She is the classic Matryoshka, in 3 different sizes.
………………………………….
Difficulty level: INTERMEDIATE, and maybe even advanced beginners.
If you are not sure you are up for the task, or just want to practice your stitches before starting the actual Matryoshka, just download the “strawberry cover” free practice pattern!
You will need to switch between yarn colors, use back & front loops, skip stitch and spike stitch.
All stitches & techniques are explained in detail.
………………………………….
Use any kind of yarn with a matching hook that will allow tight stitches (even giant Matryoshkas made in t-shirt yarn!).
Using the recommended yarn & hook, your dolls height will be approx. 11cm, 14.5cm, 19cm (size M & L use the same pattern).
If you want your matryoshka to look her best, I recommend using a dura foam craft ball as part of the filling (If using the recommended yarn & hook, ball size will be 6cm, 8cm, 10cm accordingly).

This is a step by step, easy to follow written pattern & photo tutorial. In English only… (for now).
Written in standard US terms.
All used abbreviations are listed and explained.
Enjoy.. :)
