Everyone loves dinosaurs!

If you can’t afford the real thing, this pdf knitting pattern will enable you to knit up three types of dinosaur eggs (Sauropod, Therapod and Ornithischian) to give your loved one a truly memorable surprise.

This pattern only involves knitting flat and is suitable for a beginner knitter. You can also contact me at any point if you need technical advice or have any other queries.

What you will need:

ALL:
2 knitting needles (US2/2.75mm or as per tension advice)
1 tapestry needle for finishing
Grey yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK shades 240 ‘Stonewash’, 313 ‘Whisper’ or 487 ‘Cloud’)

SAUROPOD EGG:
40g grey yarn (each egg)
2 black toy safety eyes (15mm)
90g polyfil toy stuffing

THERAPOD EGG:
10g grey yarn (each egg)
2 black toy safety eyes (9mm)
10g polyfil toy stuffing

ORNITHISCHIAN EGG:
5g grey yarn (each egg)
2 black toy safety eyes (6mm)
5-10g polyfil toy stuffing

Skills used: Casting on and off, Increasing and Decreasing

Stitches used: Stocking stitch
