Amigurumi Ghost Frankenstein
-
Please read through the entire pattern before beginning your project. It helps to have a sense of the whole project before working on individual parts.
-
This pattern uses standard US crochet terminology.
-
The total number of stitches for each row is indicated in parentheses at the end of each row instruction.
-
The ch 4 and ch 3 at the beginning of the Granny Square rows count as double crochets (dcs) plus 2 or 1 chains (chs), i.e. ch 4 = dc + ch 2 and ch 3 = dc + ch 1.
-
The neck of the Mask is narrower than the ghost Body, so some squeezing is necessary to put the costume Head in place. This is why the ghost Body is crocheted so tightly (with a smaller hook size than normally used for Worsted Weight yarn). It makes the body much sturdier, able to withstand the necessary squeezing, and retain its original shape once inside the Mask.
-
Make sure to place a stitch marker in the first stitch of each row so as not to lose your place. I’ve decided to not to do this so many times and always regretted it!
