Hector the hippo lived in the swamps of Africa with his heard, along with a zebra who thought it was a hippo. Little Hector was munching on a few pounds of grass when he spotted a flock of birds nearby. He looked at himself, seeing he was covered in bits of this’s and that’s, and decided it was time for a little grooming! He called the birds over and they got right to work. There little beaks were so relaxing, Hector soon drifted into sleep. When he woke, he discovered the birds were gone……..along with his hippo heard! After searching for a bit, Hector decided he’d take advantage of this opportunity, hopped aboard a freight ship to somewhere called ‘the U.S.’ Since little Hector is new to the area, he needs room and board, as well as someone who will love and care for him.
