I made many of these to sell, and the pattern evolved the more I made. I am finally satisfied with the end result, and decided to make the pattern available to any other crafters who would like to make their own. Gauge and yarn are not important, just make sure you use a hook a couple sizes smaller than the yarn calls for. This is really important for hiding the stuffing and ends inside.
