Amigurumi Japanese Kokeshi Doll Duo Set Crochet Pattern
This is a crochet pattern for you to make you own set of Amigurumi Japanese Kokeshi Dolls. They is inspired by my collection of traditional wooden Japanese Kokeshi dolls. They would make wonderful ornaments or a sweet doll set for someone special.
The finished dolls are approximately 14.5cm (5 3/4 inches) and 15cm (6 inches) tall and made out of DK yarn (8 ply wool). Worsted weight wool would work well too. Felt is used to add detail. One doll had a bun on her head and the other a bow, just like traditional Kokeshi dolls often have.
You can use the separate components of the pattern and put them together in several different ways to create a number of different and unique Kokeshi dolls.
The pattern is written in US terms and is very easy to follow, with detailed written instructions and plenty of images to help you make your dolls. They are made in amigurumi style (crochet in the round) and would be suitable for those who already know basic crochet skills.
