Hello. How are you? I hope you’re safe and well.

This is a project thought for the month of May, when we celebrate Mother’s Day in Brazil and it’s really special and fantastic!
Adelaide and Sidy were born from the wish of making a project that could remember mothers and be fun.
There was a kind of a koala’s party in my mind for a long while. So I thought of them and I remembered that they have the marsupial pouch where their babies stay after birth. That brought me a memory of something my mom used to tell me: “if I could I would put your sister and you in a bag and I would carry you both close to me forever”.
I believe that all mothers or pretty most of them have this same wish.

This standard is available in English. This pattern is an extensive PDF file that contains complete instructions for knitting and finishing the koala Adelaide and her baby Sidy.

Size:
That depends on the materials you are going to use. If you use similar yarns as mine Adelaide will have approximately 24cm (10 inches) of length and Baby Sidy 7cm

The PDF file contains 30 pages and many step-by-step photos, including an explanatory supplement for arm articulation.

The toys are woven in circular knitting, but with a brief explanation to adapt them to straight needles.
