This octopus is based on the plastic japanese toy ‘Takochu’ created by the Pine company.
This amigurumi has been crocheted with a 3.5 mm. hook, and measure like a tennis ball. For a better result use bright yarns that are a bit stiff (I used rustic cotton). This pattern is for begginer to intermediate crocheters, that know how to make half double and treble crochet stitches, and crocheting in front and back loops. This pattern is crocheted in spiral and uses US terms.

MATERIALS

• A ball of yarn and a small amount of a contrasting color
• A 3.5mm hook
• A 5 mm hook, screwdriver or thin pen to shape the mouth
• Stuffing
• 1 pair safety eyes
• Tapestry needle and stitch marker
