This is an easy pattern for beginning crocheters. It does use the magic circle technique.

The size of your seal pup is determined by the gauge of the yarn that you use, I recommend starting with Aran, but the Buttercream Lux White Angel Hair yarn also makes a perfect fuzzy seal.

These little guys do not take much yarn to make, but if you are using nicer yarn that comes with less yardage, you might want to pick up an extra skein just in case (the worst that can happen is that you make two and give one as a gift).
