If using size 4, worsted weight yarn, and a 3.25mm hook, the doll will be around 12” tall. If using smaller or larger yarn and hook sizes, the dolls will be smaller or larger. These dolls can be made with ANY SIZE YARN and HOOK, as long as you are consistent throughout the pattern. You will want to use a hook that provides a tight enough tension so that stuffing will not show through your stitches. I recommend ‘yarn under’ or x-stitch for the doll (for similar results to mine), and the jacket can be made with either x- or v- stitch (yarn over) -- but it is not a requirement.

Supplies needed for this project include:
Size 3.25mm hook
Worsted weight yarn in colors: Beige (skin tone), Navy, White, Black, Red, Light Yellow
(Regardless of the kind of yarn used, you will need some Light Yellow worsted acrylic that can be brushed fluffy for the ‘comb-over’ hair)
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Fiberfill stuffing
8mm safety eyes
craft glue
Medium button (12mm)
