This is a pattern for a tiny little whale! They’re just so cute! Now you can make your own tiny whales. Did you know that a group of whales is called a pod? Make your own pod! Make a rainbow pod of whales!

This is a great pattern for a crocheter who already has a good grasp on the basics. Stitches required are chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet. Some sewing knowledge and possibly embroidery can help, but are not required.

Gauge is not very important for amigurumi; I recommend a size G/4 mm hook with worsted weight yarn. I used two colors for the whale, one for the main body and a contrast color for the tummy.

The pattern is a six-page PDF file with handy pictures to refer to. It is not a tutorial. If you do not know how to crochet, you will not be able to make this pattern.

All abbreviations and stitches are American-style.
