Amika
Using approximately 350 yards, the most basic Amika uses one single yarn. But with the fun and exciting yarns available today, you can knit the pattern changing out yarns as you desire to knit a work of art! A great way to use up your odd bits of leftovers.
100% reversible, the Amika (means Friend) can be worn in so many ways!
The delicate, unique “Lacy Ladder” cast on permits you to make your custom size easily. Working with just 3 stitches you knit vertically until this edging is the size you need. The pattern has a simple formula for determining your perfect size.
Graceful spirals of knits & purls make the body of the Amika. This really makes your yarns pop, and makes the Amika reversible! If knit long enough, you can wrap it around your neck a few times and both sides are equally beautiful.
Finally it’s ended with the “Diving Dolphin” bottom border. This lacy edging adds the perfect feminine touch!
Knit it short & narrow for a cowl, wider for a shoulder wrap, very wide and long for a scarf which you can wrap numerous times, or longer yet for a skirt!
