I decided to name this shawl “Amistad Shawl”.

⁣Amistad is the word in Spanish for friendship. I wanted to celebrate all the people I have met through this craft, and the friendships we have formed.

This shawl is a celebration of friendship.

3.75mm (5US) needles or size needed to obtain gauge with a 120cm (47”) cable or longer to accommodate all stitches
Stitch markers (4)
Spice Kick 250g / 1093yds (1000m) – Hobbii Twister yarn base fingering weight yarn (55% Cotton / 45% Acrylic)
Scissors
Darning needle

Level
Beginner (this pattern calls for garter tab cast on, stockinette stitch, a simple lace detail.)

Gauge
Measured over stockinette stitch knit flat after blocking 20 Sts and 28 rows / 4” (10cm)

Approximate Shawl measurements:
223 cm (90”) long by 70 cm (27 ½”) deep.

** Gauge is not essential for this design, although keep in mind that your gauge will determine the amount of yarn you require for the shawl and it will affect the final measurements.
