Ammonite Fossil Square
This granny square features an ammonite design on its center, perfect for fossil lovers and paleontology
enthusiasts. It serves as almost a mystical reminder of a world gone by, of a distant era nearly unimaginable to us now. A blanket made with these squares would be perfect in a home inspired by Victorian explorers, among many other styles!
Due to the nature of how the ammonite is constructed this isn’t a pattern for beginners, but should be
attempted by more advanced crocheters. The central part of this square is made with two yarns worked simultaneously in turn in a spiral, so no final row stitch counts are written, beware.
The square works up beautifully with any earth toned and neutral scrap yarns you might have laying around.
This 7-page digital PDF contains row-by-row crochet patterns for creating the square and has a lot of progression pics for help.
The PDF is in english and uses US terminology.
