Among the Trees is a single-skein project that can be worn as a cowl or a scarf. It features a simple lace pattern with Estonian bobbles/nupps and lacy mock cables.

The pattern can be easily modified in both length and width. Instructions to do so are given in the pattern. Links are provided to two different techniques to work the nupps.

The lace is charted only.

Among the Trees is part of my series The Cloths of Heaven, inspired by some of my favourite poems and poets. It takes its name from the poem “When I am among the trees” by Mary Oliver:
