Amos balaclava
The Amos Balaclava is a simple 2x1 ribbed balaclava with well-thought fit and minimalistic details. It is started at the top, then stitches are picked along the sides of the top and worked downwards toward the neck. The neck is joined in the round and worked in 1x1 ribbing. Lastly stitches are picked up around the face opening and worked in 1x1 ribbing.
You can either work the balaclava in DK weight yarn or use a combination of fingering weight yarn and a lace weight silk mohair. The Amos Balaclava is intended for leftover skeins of yarn as you only need one 100 g skein of DK weight yarn or one 50 g skein of fingering weight yarn combined with one 25 g skein of silk mohair.
