Amour Jacket is a charming Aran knit that combines three similar cable patterns for a playful and brilliantly harmonized design. It’s a joy to knit and pairs effortlessly with a variety of bottoms, making it a versatile and stylish addition to any wardrobe.
This jacket is worked top-down, with cables throughout, following the provided chart.
The back panel is worked flat from the shoulders to the underarm. Stitches are picked up along each shoulder to shape the neckline, which is also worked flat to the underarm. The body is then joined and worked flat, with pockets seamlessly formed as part of the body knitting process. Stitches are picked up along the neckline to create a folded collar, and along the front edges to knit the button bands in ribbing. The sleeves are picked up at the armholes and worked in the round while maintaining the cable pattern down to
the cuffs. After washing and blocking, buttons are attached to complete the garment.
