This pattern in fingering weight yarn generates a ladies’ medium sized fingerless mitt. Using sport weight yarn a men’s medium sized fingerless mitt is generated.

To create a smaller size for a teen or child, you can remove 3-6 stitches if desired. The ribbing makes for a very generous size range, which is quite nice for gifts and comfort.

The gauge is not specified as all of the test knits were using size 4 needles and the gauge depended on the yarn used.
