An Homage to “Grace and Frankie” Cowl
Released to celebrate the NJ Wool Walk and Local Yarn Store Day 2022, this cowl pattern pays tribute to the Netflix show, “Grace and Frankie”, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. In it’s 7th and final season, I thought it’d be fun to reminisce about the show by knitting a cowl inspired by its characters and events.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
As you can see there is nothing risqué about the cowl. However, the show discusses feminine topics that are mentioned in the pattern text. If these topics make you uncomfortable, you may wish to find another pattern.
Warning: If you haven’t watched through the end of Season 6, you may come across spoilers.
“An Homage to Grace and Frankie” is knit from the bottom up in the round, with a little bit of 2x2 ribbing on each edge. It’s designed to use scraps of contrasting fingering weight yarn leftover from other projects. Alternatively, you could use a set of mini-skeins, or 2 skeins alternating the color sections – whatever your own creative muse inspires you to do.
