An Imagined Medieval Cuppa
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
I wanted a quick advent gift for my Mom. A few weeks ago we had been out shopping and she had been charmed by a cup cosy. I was really amused by this because I didn’t really see how our warm Canadian home with a coffee pot that kept the coffee warm was really a requirement. And then I started to wonder what homes in history would have needed this item. I hit upon the medieval times (a favourite historical time period of mine) when cold homes and fires having burnt out over night, would have made this a good item. Not that I think a medieval home would have had the time to make items such as this… :)
