An Unsent Letter
This pattern is part of the Found Objects collection. This project was based on the idea that inspiration can be found in every nook and cranny of our daily lives, especially the ones that seem the most unremarkable. Each piece in this collection is based on a found object. These objects were gathered from the places I see and inhabit every day. Every item I chose had a story to share, and from those stories came inspiration for seven knitted accessories, which may someday, in turn, inspire someone else.
The simple shape of a postage stamp inspired An Unsent Letter. Small rectangles in a contrasting colour made with slipped stitches are the perfect accent to this basic mitten pattern, and are a great way to use up that last little bit of worsted weight yarn left over from another project.
