Ana Beret
The Ana Beret starts with a folded, colorwork brim, before increasing into the traditional beret shape, and is finished with an icord loop. Inspired by Ana of the Knut Knitting podcast, this hat captures her bold and elegant style into a sophisticated and timeless accessory.
In order to make this hat more financially accessible, I’m using the “pay what you can model”. To use this model, please enter the coupon code listed next to the price you can pay.

Sizes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (15.2”, 17.5”, 19.6”, 21.8”, 24”)
The size of the hat should be decided by measuring the head it’s intended for where they would like the hat to sit, and subtracting around 2”. I wouldn’t suggest wearing the hat with less than 1.5” of negative ease.
Yardages are highly variable depending on the amount of slouch you want in your beret, but should range from 20-50 yards of the contrast color and 120-220 of the main color, depending on the size and slouch.
This pattern was written using two weights of yarn: DK for the contrast, and worsted for the main body.
