Anchor Point Beanie
The Anchor Point beanie features colorful stripes in two-color brioche stitch. The brioche makes this hat super squishy and warm, and the stripes are the perfect opportunity to use up some leftovers! This pattern comes with 2 pdfs -- one with instructions for working in fingering-weight, one for working in DK or worsted weights. See notes below for sizing information for each of the 3 weights.
Fingering-weight yarn
-100-150m (110-165 yds) in Main Color (MC)
-30m (33 yds) of each of 3 Contrast Colors (CC) for the tighter-capped version or 4 Contrast Colors (CC) for the slouchier version
-3.5 mm (US Size 4) needles
I provide instructions for 4 finished circumferences: 13”/33cm (15.3”/39cm, 17.5”/44cm, 19.6”/50cm). This hat is extremely stretchy, so I recommend knitting the size that gives about 5-7 inches (13-18 cm) of negative ease relative to your head circumference. Finished height is fully adjustable, though I give directions for a tighter-capped version (7.5”/19cm tall) and for a slouchier version (9.5”/24cm tall).
DK-weight yarn
-80-150m (90-165 yds) in Main Color (MC)
-20m (22 yds) of each of 3 Contrast Colors (CC) for the tighter-capped version or 4 Contrast Colors (CC) for the slouchier version
-3.75 mm (US Size 5) needles
Instructions are provided for four sizes measuring 12”/30cm (14.4”/37cm, 16.8”/43cm, 19.2”/49cm) in circumference. This hat is extremely stretchy, so I recommend knitting the size that gives about 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) of negative ease relative to your head circumference. Finished height is fully adjustable, though I give directions for a tighter-capped version (~7.75”/19.6cm tall) and for a slouchier version (~9.75”/24.7cm tall).
Worsted-weight yarn
-80-150m (90-165 yds) in Main Color (MC)
-20m (22 yds) of each of 3 Contrast Colors (CC) for the tighter-capped version or 4 Contrast Colors (CC) for the slouchier version
-4.00 mm (US Size 6) needles
Instructions are provided for four sizes measuring 13.3”/34cm (16”/41cm, 18.7”/47cm, 21.3”/54cm) in circumference.
