A fairly basic hat with the addition of a cabled anchor motif at front & back. Original was knit for WinterAngels 2008 exchange on greatbigsea.com
Original yarn used is discontinued. I recommend a wool or wool blend in a worsted weight.

Please note you’ll need a second cable needle (or a toothpick or other short holder) when working one particular cable in the anchor

August 9, 2016: I’ve updated the PDF! I’m hoping this is much more easy to read now :)

February 2021: I have added a chart and reworked the instructions to be clearer. It still has full line by line instructions as well. I have also added a low vision accessible pdf that includes: all black type, 24pt sans serif font (Verdana), the photo is captioned, the pattern is completely left justified, and any italics have been removed. This pattern can be completed without using the chart in the “standard” pdf.

Errata: Written instructions Rnd 3 - where it says P12 it should be P14. The chart is correct.
