You’ll need 20 grams of the main color and a few amount of contrasting yarns.

I used leftovers of Holstgarn Supersoft (314 yards /287 m; 50 grams / 1.76 oz) but leftovers of any other 2-ply light fingering weight Shetland yarn would perfectly suit.

MC Opal: 20 (20) grams 

CC1 Almond: 10 (14) grams

CC2 Clover leaf: 8 (10) grams 

CC3 Saffron: 2 grams

CC4 Maize: ½ yard

CC5 Oxford: 1 (2) yard

If you’re a beginner, I recommend to knit with two colors then use Duplicate stitches technique for the snow.
