And It's Lace Shawl
Volunteer Editors Please Respect Me
I often use vintage yarns or threads that are NOT in ravelry’s database. I have still entered them and they are not linked. Or I put in information that may not have been available because ravelry changes it’s options over time. If you feel that a change is needed to my pattern page, PLEASE PM ME ON RAVELRY.
Please respect me and send me a PM. Please do not change my pattern pages.
SPECIAL NOTE - Ravelry defines “oval” shaped as “egg” shaped. This shawl is NOT egg shaped! lol …. it’s oval shaped …. an elongated circle evenly distributed to be oval. I am still laughing over the ‘egg = oval’ thing …..
It is the season for weddings. For proms. For off the shoulder summer dresses or blouses. Do you need a pretty lace shawl that will show off your shoulders? This is the shawl for you!
This shawl has been designed to center on the posts of the stitches instead of the stitches themselves. It’s a new way of looking at crochet stitches.
Many of my testers learned a new way of placing their hooks in the stitches to create smooth flowing lines. This is not necessary but it gives your shawl that professional touch. There are tutorial pictures for those who need assistance with the new techniques.
The pattern talks you through making the size shawl that you want in the foundation row.
There are a lot of sample shawls in this pattern. If you need to be careful of how much ink you are using when you print this pattern then do not print the last section, “Random Information” starting on page 21.
This pattern is fully written out and fully charted. The foundation row is best worked by following the written instructions and using the chart as a visual confirmation. After that, you can use only the charts if that is how you are comfortable. I do suggest reading the tips in the written instructions so that you are familiar with special instructions. I try to keep my charts as clear and clean as possible to show the stitches.
Note that the only weights of yarn I did not test was bulky and super bulky.
