Andalusia
Andalusia is a color work hat with an faux fur/ Sherpa brim that is cozy as well as stylish! Big Bad Wool baby yeti is the fun furry stuff, and it’s knitted to a length to fold up creating a double layer of warmth for your ears. If the Sherpa brim isn’t your thing, this pattern has a version written with a traditional hemmed brim. Both versions have the same color work chart that’s bold and geometric.
I’ve also included a DK weight version of Andalusia that has a slightly different gauge (6 sts per inch). This version has a different increase round to accommodate the smaller weight yarn. The DK weight version can be found on the final two pages of the pattern PDF.
Here are the yarn and needle requirements for all three versions included in the pattern.
Baby Yeti Version
Yarn:
Big Bad Wool baby yeti chunky -approximately 50 yards or about half a skein;
Big Bad Wool weepaca or other light worsted/ DK weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors approximately 60 yards of background color and 45 yards of foreground color;
The yardage listed above does not include a Pom Pom, however, there is plenty of yarn leftover of either color for making a medium sized Pom Pom. (Pictured)

Size 6/ 16” circular needle
Size 6 DPNs
Gauge:
5.75 stitches per inch on US 6 in color-work stranded pattern after blocking
Finished Measurement:
17” circumference
Traditional Hemmed Brim Version
Yarn:
Big Bad Wool weepaca or other light worsted/ DK weight yarn in 3 contrasting colors;
approximately 65 yards of brim color (hay), 60 yards of background color (minty), and 45 yards of foreground color (mustard);
The yardage listed above does not include a Pom Pom, however, there is plenty of yarn leftover of either colors for making a medium sized Pom Pom. (Pictured)
