Andante is a common musical term frequently defined as “walking pace”. A piece of music bearing this tempo suggests it is played at a relaxed speed. Coming from the Italian verb “andare”, translated literally as “to walk” or “to go”, Andante is an invitation to pace yourself and enjoy every step of the pleasant journey this project brings.

Description
The vest is worked top-down starting with the back, giving you a chance to get familiar with the chart and the pretty texture coming from a combination of knit and purl stitches. Once the back armhole shaping is complete, back stitches are placed on hold and stitches are picked up and worked in the opposite direction for the left front. The left front neckline is shaped through increases and armhole increases mirror the back. Once the left neckline shaping is complete, stitches are picked up for the right front and the armholes shaping completed prior to joining the front and back. The rest of the work is done in the round finished with 5cm of 1/1 rib. The final touches are the addition of 1/1 ribbing at the neckline and each armhole for a tailored and structured finish.

The pattern is chart only.
