Inspired by the epic love story of Starbuck and Anders (Battlestar Galactica), this hat is the perfect accessory for the hardcore Cylon hunters we all have inside us. In designing this hat (and the coordinating Anders Mitts) I wanted to capture the dichotomy of hard and soft that makes Anders and Starbuck so intoxicating. This hat is an easy and quick project, and the colorwork is simple enough to be your first Fair Isles piece. You can customize the fit and length, and add a pom, or leave it pom-less. Make it your own!

Worked in soft, vibrant, Geek-A-Long Sport Weight Yarn by Lattes & Llamas, 2 100g balls of yarn (1 of each color) are enough to knit 2 hats, or to make the Anders Hat and it’s sister pattern: Anders Mitts (also available on Ravelry)

Recommended Yarn: 2 balls (100g) Lattes & Llamas Geek-A-Long Yarn in 2 sharply contrasting colors. Sample is knit in Invisible Jet (silver) and Gotham (Dark Teal).

Needles: US2/3mm 36” circular needles (for working in magic loop) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 17sts and 18 rows = 4” on US 2. Gauge swatch instructions are included in the pattern.
