Andi Cardigan
For $5/month you can get access to a growing library of Kristen TenDyke’s patterns, including this one!
I was inspired to design this cardigan many, many years ago when I was knitting another lace cardigan. When the body was finished, before sewing in the sleeves I tried it on as a vest, and was wearing a striped shirt underneath. I loved the result! That sweater completed with its intended sleeves, but THIS sweater was on my mind ever since! I’m super excited to finally bring it into reality!
The body is worked seamlessly from the bottom up, divided for the armholes and the back and front are worked separately to the shoulders. Shoulders are shaped with short-rows and joined using the three-needle bind off. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole edges and the caps are shaped with short-rows, then the sleeve is worked in the round to the cuff.
Finished Size 29.75 (34.5, 39.5, 44.25, 49.25, 54, 59)“ / 75.5 (87.5, 100.5, 112.5, 125, 137, 150) cm bust circumference, buttoned with 1” / 2.5 cm overlapping buttonband. Cardigan shown in 34.5” / 87.5 cm with 2” negative ease.
