Made with the cold weather in mind, the Aneira Ski Hat is a must knit for winter holidays, ski/snowboarding trips or simply those with ears that have a tendency to feel the chill!

You will start knitting the ribbed base flat on circular needles before joining in the round to finish the body of the hat. This can be done using double pointed needles, or circulars depending on your preference for using magic loop.

Two tassels with poms are added to the ear flaps and a larger pom is sewn to the top to finish.

SIZE:
Measured flat, the Aneira Ski Hat measures at approximately 10in (25.5cm)long from bottom of ribbing to the crown of the hat.
Rib section measures approximately 3in (8cm) high and 16.5in (42cm) in length.
Designed to fit the average adult head of 22in (56cm).

GAUGE:
11 sts x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ on 10mm (US 15) needles in stocking stitch

YARN:
You can use any super chunky yarn you wish to knit up this pattern provided you can meet the gauge. The samples in the photos are worked using King Cole Big Value Super Chunky (1 ball = 82m (90yd))

The pattern requires 2 colours of yarn; Colour A is the main colour for the hat and Colour B is the accent colour for the pompom.

Approximate yardage: Colour A - 82m (90yd); Colour B - 42m (45yd)

A 10mm (US size 15) Circular Knitting Needle measuring 60cm in length
OPTIONAL: Set of 4 10mm (US size 15) double pointed knitting needles if magic loop is not for you
