Angel #11
Use a steel crochet hook, size 6 (1.8 mm).
The angel requires about 36 yards of thread total. Various combinations work well: variegated Christmas colors, metallics, solids, etc. for the dress and white or other contrast colors for the wings and head.
This is one of the most versatile patterns going. I have made literally hundreds of these little angels for gifts, package decorations, fundraising tools, etc. Try using school colors, shades to match babies’ rooms, kitchens, bridesmaids’ dresses, etc. Beads, buttons, and charms add texture and interest to the angels. The possibilities are endless!
DMC Baroque and DMC Cebelia threads are my favorites in addition to Knit-Cro-Sheen. South Maid brand is of inconsistent quality.
