Knitted in garter stitch and stocking stitch there is nothing difficult in the working of this Shrug - it actually looks far more complicated than it is.

Knitted on straight needles - no increasing or decreasing or cable needle - simply knitted in one piece with some clever manoeuvring of stitches. Photographic instructions are also given on the pattern to show how to achieve the celtic knot.

There are 3 sizes on the pattern:

Small - fits UK sizes 8 to 12
Medium - fits UK sizes 12 to 16
Large - fits UK sizes 16 to 20

In addition to 5mm needles you will also need 1 “spare” 5mm needle (or 5mm circular) as a “holding” needle plus 4 nappy pins or small stitch holders.

An ideal garment for those balmy Summer evenings on holidays/cruises when you want something light and airy to cover your shoulders - packs away to nothing in your suitcase!
Wear it with the celtic knot on the back! (see the photos on our listing for Aran Celtic Knot Shrug)
