Angel/Elf/Reindeer TinySprite
“A sprite is a supernatural entity. They are often depicted as fairy-like.”
ATTENTION: THIS IS A DIGITAL (3 in 1) PATTERN, NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT.
This is an crochet pattern (amigurumi) to make your very own tiny Sprite (ornaments).
You will receive both the English and the Dutch pattern.
With this 3 in 1 pattern you can make all 3 of the following characters: Angel, Elf and Reindeer.
To change your Sprite’s looks, you can embellish it with all the following options of your choice; Skirt, wings, hair, halo, hat, collar, ears and antlers. Just pick whichever one you like for your Sprite and have fun switching them up to create different dolls as well! Maybe make a forest Sprite with long hair and antlers? Or a winged elf wearing a skirt! There is loads of room for artistic freedom. Make some as ornaments for your tree or make some less Christmassy Sprites to decorate your place year-round!
What do you need:
-Crochet hook: I use a 2-2.5mm for ‘scheepjes’ yarn and 2.5-3mm for ‘Ilovethiscotton’ from Hobby Lobby.
-Cotton yarn for the body in your color/style of choice.
(Different types of yarn will make for different sized Sprites.)
-Acrylic yarn for hair.
-Scissors.
-Tapestry needle and pins.
-8mm oval safety eyes.
-Anodized aluminum craft wire* I use 12 gauge. (It needs to be slim enough to still fit your limbs, but firm enough to hold its shape.)
-Flat nose pliers, to cut and bend your wire.
-Stuffing. (like Poly-Fil.)
(Aluminum wire frames are not suitable for small children. If you would like to make a tiny Sprite suitable for play, you can withhold the wireframe and leave the arms unstuffed.)
