Angel on Angel
Angel on Angel is a pretty little A-line sweater that buttons down the back (an angel top), featuring cute lace angels in both the lower border and the centre front.
It is designed to be worn with the opening at the back, but can also be worn as a front-buttoned cardigan, or knitted longer and worn as a dress. Instructions are given for both short and long sleeves.
Angel on Angel is a simply constructed, seamless, raglan sleeve cardigan that is knitted from the bottom up, with the back bands knitted with the body, so no sewing is required. The body is knitted flat and the sleeves are knitted in the round.
The pattern is for use with light sport or fingering weight yarn and is in three sizes, from birth to 1 year (0 -3, 3 – 6, and 6 – 12 months). Detailed written instructions and optional charts are given, as well as a schematic diagram. All measurements are given in both metric and imperial.
The featured garment was knitted in Milla Mia Naturally Soft Merino, which is a light sport weight yarn. Fingering yarn can also be used, as long as the required gauge is obtained. (25 sts, 34 rows to 10 x 10 cm)
