FINISHED WING SIZES:
The wing finished sizes range between 4.5-6” in height. Using different size hooks when making each of the three patterns will result in varied finished sizes. Also the weight of yarn you use will affect the size of the finished wings.

Using the yarn listed in the pattern I found that one wing 5” high takes approximately 13.3m/14.6yds to make. This means you should be able to make about 27 wings from one ball of yarn. (This is an estimate and will vary based on technique, tension and hook size used by the crocheter.)

I am available to contact if you encounter any difficulties with the pattern.

Great to give as a gift to a special crocheter in your life. These wings are perfect for crochet angel ornaments for the Christmas tree or for an amigurumi angel Christmas decoration. The crochet wings are the right size for those projects. Many people have made these wings to give as a gift of comfort to honour the memory of lost loved ones. Many people have put them into shadow boxes as a memorial for lost loved ones and beloved pets.

There are many more uses for these very versatile crochet wings; angels, birds, unicorns and fairies to name a few. They are ideal for amigurumi projects. I have listed some more ideas for uses of the wings below.

IDEAS FOR USING THE CROCHETED WINGS:

  • Attached them to the backs of angel ornaments & Christmas tree toppers.
  • Use them on amigurumi angels, birds, and animals.
  • Use them in shadow boxes as memorials for beloved people & pets, for celebrations, for newborn baby mementos, for family memories & for time capsules.
  • Use them as appliqués on gifts, cards, baby blankets, baby sweaters & clothing for all ages. -- Use them on wall hangings.
  • Use them in small picture frames for a dresser
  • Sew them onto stuffed toys
  • Use them as décor in children’s rooms.
