This shawl is named for my great friend Angele, who purchased my knit shop in the Spring of 2021.. She has taken my precious child into adulthood! I am so excited for her and the name change from DMarie Knit and Fiber to her own special Flaxen Fleece!
Angele was by my side throughout the shut down of 2020, cheering me on and helping the knit stop make the changes needed to stay viable in a crazy changing everyday world! When the smoke started clearing, I was exhausted and Angele was energized, so it just seemed right to pass the torch on to her! It just seemed the perfect next step for our local knit shop in a little River town in Wisconsin!
