Angeliana is a sock pattern knit from the toe up, using the magic-loop technique with a cable pattern so that you don’t get bored just knitting stockinette. It is suitable for sock beginners or if you’ve never knit toe-up socks. You can choose between two heel flaps versions.

Finished foot circumference: (15,5/16,5/17,5),(19/20/21) 22,5 cm / (6/6½/7),(7½/8/8¼) 8¾ inches

For a stitch count of: (52/ 56/ 60),(64/ 68/ 72) 76 stitches.

Gauge: 34 stitches for 10 cm/4” with 2.25 mm/US1 needles.

As long as you are happy with the result (dense fabric) and used fingering weight yarn, you shouldn’t worry if you don’t have the indicated gauge because the pattern shows you how to adapt to your gauge and measures.

You will need, more or less, depending on the size and how long you want your socks to be, 420 metres/459 yards of fingering weight sock yarn or heavy fingering high twisted wool yarn.

You will need stitch markers (tied scrap yarn can also do the job), a tapestry needle and eventually a row counter.
